CHICAGO, IL — Never cut the wings of women, let them fly and spread the fragrance.

With that motto in mind, Mandi Theater Group is here again with an exclusive performance–WINGS, celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women as well as bringing focus on atrocities against women.

"At Mandi Theatre, we believe that a new generation of young women can lead this city without conforming to conservative ideas of radicalized, sexualized femininity”, says founder and creative director Alka Sharma.

WINGS is a newly-formed Women’s Initiative led by Mandi Theatre to discuss universal issues that affect women and to create a platform where women can freely engage in open dialogues to voice their concerns about issues that affect them.

A global web of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events through to local women’s craft markets, theatrical performances, fashion parades and more.

Consulate General of India Neeta Bhushan will be the chief guest at the unique program to be held on March 4 at Rana Reagan Community Center, 343 St Paul Blvd, Carol Stream IL 60188. The event will also feature an art exhibition and a fashion parade by little girls.
