BEAVERCREEK, OH- Naser Almadaoji, 23, an Iraqi-born U.S. citizen, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by 15 years of supervised release. The Ohio man, who was arrested by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in 2018 while trying to travel to Afghanistan to join the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) or ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K).

Almadaoji pleaded guilty to attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization in November 2021.
