Los Angeles Shopping Center Plagued by Multiple Burglaries Targeting Businesses


LOS ANGELES, CA – An investigation is underway following a series of burglaries in a Glassell Park strip mall overnight, according to police reports on Monday.

The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. at various businesses situated at the corner of Verdugo and York, within the locale recognized as Verdugo Village. Video footage from the scene depicts a significant police presence alongside shattered glass windows.

Among the establishments targeted were Toto’s BBQ, Jo-C’s hair salon, and a laundromat. The owner of the strip mall mentioned that Toto’s BBQ had permanently closed due to financial constraints.

Responding officers from the Los Angeles Police Department have examined surveillance footage, revealing a man breaking into one of the businesses before swiftly exiting.

As of now, investigators have not obtained footage from the other affected businesses, necessitating further efforts to discern the motives behind these burglaries.
