New Delhi, May 4 (IANS) BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi Sunday asked the Congress to "leave with their dignity intact" and not indulge in mudslinging in its "last days of being in power".

Addressing a 3D rally using holographic technique, Modi attacked Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and her son, party vice president Rahul Gandhi and accused them of "failing to trap him" in the last 10 years.

"They had control over all the agencies and have tried every trick in the book to malign me and trap me but they got nothing. Till now, they attacked me indirectly, but now they have started taking my name in their rallies to attack me," the Bharatiya Janata Party leader said.

"I would ask the mother-son duo to stop such shenanigans and leave with their dignity intact in their last days of being in power," he added.

Modi said the Congress’s body language proved that they have accepted defeat.

"On one side is this powerful family which has given so many prime ministers to the country, and on the other is a tea seller… this will be a terrific contest. I don’t hesitate to challenge this empire because these elections are going to be a testimony of people’s power to vote for change."

Addressing the concerns of the seven states that go to polls May 7, Modi said he will chalk out policies to benefit local businesses like handloom which employs 45 lakh people and promised to give them adequate power supply.

"If you want politics of development come with me. Give me a strong mandate for a strong government," he added.
