Jaffer Wasim’s Funny Response On Ashwin’s Post Proves Why He Is The King Of Social Media

BUY-SELL | HELP WANTED | MATRIMONIAL

Former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer is arguably one of the most likeable personalities out there on the internet, who keeps his fans entertained with witty replies and cheeky memes. A stalwart of Indian domestic cricket, the former opener has time and again proved there is no matching him when it comes to trolling someone or shutting down trolls with his street-smart replies — take for instance his banter with former England captain Michael Vaughan.

Jaffer’s supremacy as king of social media was once again established when he came up with a hilarious reply to a question posed by ace-India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on Twitter. Sharing a picture with teammate Cheteshwar Pujara, Ashwin asked his followers to take a guess on what the Saurashtra batsman was telling him.

While Ashwin was flooded with some really interesting replies, it was Jaffer’s witty response that stole the show after which even the off-spinner couldn’t contain his laughter.“2016 WT20, 2019 WC semi sabka badla lega re tera White Walker. unbowed, unbent, unbroken #WTCFinal,” Jaffer replied.

Using references from hit TV series Game Of Thrones and popular Bollywood movies Gangs of Wasseypur, Jaffer wrote that “white walker” Chetershwar Pujara will avenge all the major defeats India had suffered against New Zealand in various ICC tournaments, including the 2016 T20 World Cup and 50-over World Cup in 2019.

Hahahaha!! White Walker

Interestingly, it was Ashwin who had come up with the ‘White Walker’ nickname for Pujara as he bats for a long duration in the middle.

“I think Ash (R Ashwin) and Basu Sir (Shankar Basu) came up with that. Some guys also came up with ‘winter in coming’ instead of ‘winter is coming’, they have started with ‘Pujara is coming’ which is a bit funny. But it is a good way to acknowledge what I have done (for the team),” Pujara had said in an interview to BCCI.TV

With less than a week left for the WTC final to begin, the Indian players are giving final shape to their preparations by playing an intra-squad game against each other in order to make up for the lack of any warm-up match in the build-up to the summit clash.

Rishabh Pant lit up the atmosphere on Day 1 of the intra-squad game, scoring a half-century, and his fans couldn’t keep calm and hoped he would be the difference-maker against the Kiwis, like he Down Under earlier this year.
