INTERVIEW: Ekta Kapoor on new show Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi

Mumbai, June 17: Ekta Kapoor has launched her new TV show Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi and she is now once again ruling the small screen with a whole lot of shows. At the launch of the show, Ekta told reporters how the show’s story might look like the love story of a rich girl and a poor boy but it actually comes with a twist and a freshness.

“Well, you liked Ram Leela which had a familiar story. But the detailing was in the characterisation. You created a world and penetrated it. It’s much tougher to be different after being similar. In fact, it’s a challenge. So we try to create a world and these love stories look similar. But you will find one very interesting which happens because of the small differences,” Ekta told Bollywood Country.

“The girl had a raw talent which was needed for the character. She went for a workshop and she is perfect,” she added.
