QUEENS, NY- In a heart-wrecking incident, an Indian American family of three were killed in a house fire. The incident occurred in a fast moving fire in the Queens neighborhood of New York.

A couple and their 22-year-old son were killed as big flames took over their South Richmond Hill house.

Nandaraj Persaud, his wife Bibi Salima and son Devon were all trapped inside the home and did not make it out alive. They lived in the basement of the home.

When the firefighters were called to the scene at 2.00 pm, the fire had spread across quickly engulfing the house and neighborhood.

The New York Post said that according to the relatives, Nanda Persaud retired from a company that makes medicines while his wife worked at the JFK Airport.
