Indian Man Shot Pregnant Wife on the Church Courtyard in Chicago

CHICAGO, IL- Disturbing news coming in from Chicago reveals that an Indian man based in the US, shot his pregnant wife while at a church courtyard in Chicago. The husband Amal Reji, was arrested by Chicago police. His wife Meera was two months pregnant and remains in the hospital in critical condition.

32-year-old Meera was allegedly shot in her stomach and her mouth at close range. She was immediately shifted to the Lutheran Hospital in Chicago where she is undergoing treatment. Her condition remains critical as she suffered a hemorrhage in the stomach, due to the gunshot.

Reji hails from Ettumanoor in Kottayam, in India while Meera belongs to Uzhavoor in Kottayam in Kerala. The couple were married in 2019. They have a three-year-old child. Problems in relationships have been suspected as the cause of the incident.
