Ever since watching the 23-year-old using his titan arm to boost the spear into the air like it was nothing, Indian fans quickly began a hilarious new trend in which the athlete is being asked to throw random things to faraway places.

While some requests are childish and hilarious, a few even political in nature, while others escalated super quickly and became a way to get into the fastest way of getting in a relationship, which might make Chopra regret his decision of ever attempting to win the gold medal.

Coincidentally, Chopra isn’t the first Indian man to be subjected to such otherworldly requests by his fans. Before the Panipat-born became an Olympic gold medallist, it was Dalip Singh Rana aka The Great Khali, who was supposed to do things like changing the orbit of the earth with a single jump or dig out oil from the ground with a punch.

So when Chopra threw that javelin for the gold and didn’t even look back before celebrating his global dominance, many foresaw something similar happening to him as it happened to the former WWE wrestler:

To a lot you have become an inspiration and hope.
But I hope they don’t start making weird requests as they do to Khali.

All jokes aside, as great as his achievement remains, the Indian viewers who watched his performance in Tokyo and have been following his celebratory phase closely, have also gotten attracted by the man’s personality, humbleness, and overall nature.

From the conversation he had with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to how he does not consider not speaking in English as a disability, the fans are coming in big numbers to commemorate the young athlete, both as a champion and as a human being.

“My focus was on my game and if you manage to do well, sponsors and money follows. I want to invest them in the right direction and help those who are in need. The biggest thing for me is to keep my focus on my game and I can’t let success go to my head,” the spearman said in an interview with NDTV.

His Olympic expedition has also made him World Rank 2 in javelin throwing.
