Indian Americans in California Celebrate Chhath Puja

FREMONT, CA- Hundreds of Indians living and working in the Silicon Valley gathered together to mark the Hindu festival – Chhath Puja in Fremont California. The festival that is celebrated by honoring the sun saw families gathering at lakefront in Fremont to carry out the rituals.

The festival has begun seeing more attendees year after year in the United States. Many Indians are elated at the thought that they are able to show their American born kids the spirit and pride with which the festival is celebrated back home in India.
