Indian American Who Protested at US Open Calls President Biden Crazy

Indian American climate activist Shayok Mukhopadhyay grabbed eyeballs when he glued his feet to the floor to protest climate change US Open semifinal game last at Coco Gauff’s game. After being forcibly removed from the stadium by the NYPD, he was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Now during his interview with Daily News he said that “It’s Biden who’s the crazy person here, who, in 2023, is approving new oil and gas projects when the International Energy Agency, founded by Henry Kissinger – no tree hugger – has said there should be no new fossil fuel infrastructure.”

Artist and documentary maker, Mukhopadhyay, who lives in White Plains, NY also told the Daily News that his hometown in Kolkata, India faces grave risks from climate change, motivating his art about rapidly rising temperatures and ecological threats to humanity.”
