Indian American Family Dies in Accident; Boy, 9, only Survivor

BEAVERCREEK, OH- In a tragic incident, an Indian American family that was on a summer vacation met with an accident. The family of four — Jitu Galani, 41, Nitu Galani, 39, and their two sons – 4 and 11, from Beavercreek, Ohio were vacationing in W Virginia along with their family friends. The family planned to camp out at a park in Carter County, Kentucky. They were on their last leg of the vacation and after an overnight stay, they were supposed to be driving back to their home in Ohio next day.

According to troopers, just as the family was to enter the Carter Caves State Resort Park, they missed the entrance. When Jitu, who was behind the wheels tried to reverse the car, it overshot its intended distance and crashed into a creek. Their 9 -year-old son was able to free himself from the car but the other three died in the accident. The family has relatives in the US. While their brother stays in Texas, they also have cousins in Seattle.
