IHS visionary award for Dr. Deepak Chopra

NEW YORK, NY — The Integrative Healthcare Symposium (IHS) has said that Dr. Deepak Chopra will be honored with its 2018 Visionary Award.

In announcing the Indian American author and alternative medicine advocate as its Healthcare Visionary recipient, the IHS also added that Joe Pizzorno will receive its Healthcare Leadership Award.

Each year, IHS honors two integrative healthcare professionals whose forward-thinking contributions have advanced their fields of practice and their communities.

The Visionary Award recognizes a thought leader who has moved the integrative healthcare community forward through leadership and vision.

Chopra is a world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine and personal transformation. He’s also the founder of The Chopra Foundation, co-founder of The Chopra Center for Wellbeing and a world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine and personal transformation.

His most recent work, The Healing Self, heralds a paradigm shift in medical science toward more personal responsibility for one’s health and well-being, including evidence-based connections between higher consciousness and physical healing, the IHS said.

Chopra and Pizzorno were presented the awards at the 14th annual Integrative Healthcare Symposium conference held during February 22-24 in New York. Chopra while receiving his award spoke on ‘The Future of Well-being.’
