IACFNG Hosts Spectacular Fourth Annual Spring Color and Cultural Festival

NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ- The Indo-American Cultural Foundation of Central Jersey (IACFNJ), in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Plainsboro, South & North Brunswick, Indus TV, and Ohmkara, held their fourth annual Spring Color and Cultural Festival on May 21, 2023, at Woodlot Park in South Brunswick, NJ.

The event aimed to bring the community together to welcome spring, celebrate the Indian color festival of Holi, and honor the cultural diversity during Asian Pacific Islanders Month in May. The festival, attended by 250 people, featured captivating cultural dance performances by local groups and talented individuals, as well as authentic Indian cuisine from Perces Indian Grill. Local vendors showcased and sold clothing, jewelry, and costumes, while live entertainment and Holi songs added to the festive atmosphere.

The event was organized by the dedicated and enthusiastic executive committee, trustees, committee members, and volunteers of IACFNJ, led by President Dr. Tushar Patel. The organization has a long-standing tradition of hosting various cultural celebrations, including Navratri Garba, picnics, Independence Day festivities, and more, to foster unity and preserve Indian heritage. Additionally, IACFNJ supports local communities through scholarships, disaster relief initiatives, and virtual events. Upcoming events include a summer picnic at Mercer County Park on July 2, 2023, and an India Independence Day celebration on August 13, 2023, at the Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Monmouth Junction.
