Hyderabad: National Amateur Golf League from November 9
Hyderabad: The inaugural edition of the National Amateur Golf League, being organised by T Golf Foundation, will kick off on Tuesday at the Boulder Hills Golf and Country Club, in Hyderabad.
The edition will have eight teams from New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Rest of India and the competition will be played on league-cum-knockout basis. Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu will be the chief guest for the inauguration.
The eight teams will be divided into two groups and the top two teams from each group will progress into semis. The finale of the event will be held on Saturday.
Dr NRN Reddy, president of T Golf Foundation said, “The enjoyment that golf has given me cannot be measured in words and I’d always think of the people behind the scenes and the work they put in to ensure one leaves the golf course with a smile. With the support of a few friends and well-wishers, we have been able to launch the T Golf Foundation to help the men and women behind the scenes. In our first year, we have managed to help local contractors in times of the pandemic and we want to contribute to club employees across the country at all NAGL host clubs.”
