Hyderabad: Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Chairman and LB Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy, along with members of resident welfare associations, paid tributes to people who died due to Covid-19 on Tuesday.

As part of this, a lamp was drawn on the Sagar Ring Road and flower petals were showered by people on the artwork. Apart from TRS party leaders, members of resident welfare associations and others observed two minute silence to express their condolences.

“Families have been shattered, some parents died and children became orphans. We want to pay tributes to the ones who fell prey to the virus and pray for the wellbeing of their family members,” said Reddy.

Meanwhile, this week the LB Nagar MLA also interacted with corporate hospitals and private hospitals in LB Nagar constituency and also counselled ambulance service providers. Two separate meetings were held and elected representatives and police warned of action against hospital managements and ambulance service providers that try to force patients to pay extra money to avail healthcare services.

“Hospitals should charge people as per state government guidelines. I also request corporate hospitals to show empathy towards families of Covid-19 patients,” said Reddy.
