Human Unity meet urges inner peace

The 31st International Human Unity Conference was held during February 4-7 at Sant Darshan Singh Ji Dham, Burari, Delhi and was presided over by Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, head of SawanKirpal Ruhani Mission and president of Human Unity Conference.

National and international delegates of various religions, sects and societies congregated on one stage and gave out the
message of human unity. Over 500 representatives from several countries of the world and about 50,000 people from various parts of India participated.

Mediation workshops were organized along with 32nd Free Eye Cataract
Operation Camp on February 4 in which 1680 patients were examined and 762 were shortlisted for surgery. Also a Blood Donation Camp was organized on February 5 in which 146 units of blood were collected.

Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, who inaugurated the conference, explained that lasting outer peace cannot be achieved without attaining inner peace, adding that worldly riches and possessions could not provide true peace.

Following his uplifting discourse, several religious and social leaders addressed the gathering and gave out their message of love and peace to the audience. They included Swami Sudharmanand, Pandit Ravi Shastri, Pujya Vivek Muni, Mahamandleshwar Vigyananand and Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Dilip Yogiraj.

Delegates from the US and Sweden also spoke on the occasion
and hailed Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj as the true torch-bearer of love, unity, and peace in today’s troubled times.

At the end, Issac Malekar read out the declaration of the conference
which stated that meditation is a powerful tool for experiencing personal transformation and inner and outer peace, and that the participants
of the conference pledge to become ambassadors of peace, and to make a positive contribution to society and the world.
