HI INDIA NEWS DESK
HOUSTON, TX- It seems that residents of Houston are facing an increase in their water and wastewater bills. The increase is a result of a combination of factors including inflationary index, population growth, and a city ordinance that adjusts prices for inflation annually through 2026. Some customers may see an increase of up to 17.5 percent in their water bills.

The increase is intended to cover the cost of operating, maintaining, and repairing the water and wastewater system, debt service on the system’s bonds, protect the financial integrity of the system, and comply with bond covenants and other applicable laws.
