Chandigarh, Aug 6 (IANS) A senior IAS officer who had recently red-flagged controversial appointments to constitutional posts by the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress government has been shunted out of his post.

Indian Administrative Service officer Pradeep Kasni was on Tuesday removed as secretary, administrative reforms and posted as administrator, Command Area Development Authority (CADA) and project director of the Haryana AIDS control society.

Among the seven IAS officers transferred on Tuesday, Kasni told reporters that he came to know about the transfer from the media and not through any official order.

Though he claimed that he had not done anything, he said that transfers were prerogative of the government.

Kasni had raised objections to the manner in which the Hooda government was going ahead with appointments of information commissioners and comissioners of Right to Service Commission.

However, Hooda went ahead with the appointments despite the controversy.
