Golfer Amandeep eyes fourth Hero women title in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Aug 2: On a high after bagging her third title, promising golfer Amandeep Drall will aim to continue her winning run in the 12th leg of the Rs 6,00,000 Hero women's Professional tour to be staged at the par-72 Hyderabad golf club here from Wednesday.

The event will feature 15 professionals and lone amateur Suchitra Ramesh.

Amandeep, currently placed third in the order of merit with total earnings of Rs 7,38,534, would be eager to see her name move up the money list.

Another strong contender for the title is Delhi youngster Vani Kapoor, who has had a superb run this season, winning five titles in seven appearances. 

Currently placed second in the money list with total earnings of Rs 7,43,350, she wasn't at her usual best in the last leg as she had just returned from illness. 

Amandeep and Vani, however, will face tough competition from Neha Tripathi, Gursimar Badwal and Saaniya Sharma. 

Kolkata's Neha currently leads the order of merit with total earnings of Rs 7,57,333, winning two titles in 11 appearances this season. She will look to improve her performance and consolidate her position atop the money list.

Kapurthala's Gursimar is placed fourth with total earnings of Rs 6,54,200 with one victory and one runner-up finish to her name and will be hoping to put forth another strong display and grab her second win of the season. 

Bengaluru's Sharmila Nicollet doesn't have any title in her kitty this season, and will be keen to make an impact at the Hyderabad Golf Club.

The Delhi duo of Ankita Tiwana, Meher Atwal and Pune's Shweta Galande will also be in action along side rookie Suchitra.
