Geeta Jayanti and Birthday Celebrations by Indian Seniors of Chicago

CHICAGO, IL- The General Meeting of the Indian Seniors of Chicago was held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:30 am at Manav Seva Mandir about 250 members were in attendance. The entire program was managed successfully by Mr. Navin Patel, member of the Executive Committee.

Event begin with Ganesha Stuti and Sarva Dharma Prathana by Shri Bhupendra Suthar, Geeta Suthar, Panna Shah and Nayanaben Darji sang Ganesha Stuti and Sarva Dharma Prarthana. Then all the members recited Hanuman Chalisa. Mr. Chittaranjan Desai presented the income-expenditure account for the month of November and announced the names of individuals and organizations who had donated to the organization.

After that Shri Pravinbhai Seth spoke at length about Gita Jayanti.

Jayashriben Seth sang a beautiful song about Swadhyaya.

Shri Bhupendra Suthar requested the members whose birthday falls in the month of December to come forward. Chief guest Dr. Narsinhbhai Patel gave Birthday Greeting cards to members.

Then the entertainment program by the members was started by Mr. Navin Patel. He announced the names of the participating members one by one. Bhajan, Gujarati and Hindi movie songs presented by Hemaben Ranaa, Arvind Modi, Ashwin Desai, Deepesh Modi, Mrs. Nalini Shah, Jayantibhai Ojha, Rohini Dekhtawala, Hirabhai Patel, Jashwant Sheth and Bhadraben Shah.

The musical group members who presented annual program of the Indian Seniors of Chicago were appreciated by the members by presenting them with certificate of excellence and a gift amount. Sanjay Patel, Jagurti Patel, Mihir Acharya and Manjari Acharya of Zhankar Beads Group were invited to today’s program. On request by members Mihir Acharya sang many movie songs and entertained members.

Members were requested to participate in various national hero look alike dress up and the program of flag salutation and march past on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

At the end, after reciting a verse, everyone took a delicious meal.
