European Masters Golf Tournament: Solid Shubhankar Sharma climbs to tied-9th

India’s Shubhankar Sharma stayed on course for a top-10 finish as he carded a 3-under 67 in the third round to lie tied-9th at the European Masters golf tournament here.

Sharma landed a second eagle in the event when he putted from 35 feet on the par-5 ninth. He also had three birdies against two bogeys on a day when scoring was tough due to swirling wind. He is 7-under for 54 holes.

American Sean Crocker shot a 6-under 64 to join Renato Paratore in a one-shot lead going into the final day.

Aditi sizzles, moves to 7th

Fiskebackskil (Sweden): Indian golfer Aditi Ashok fired a sensational 5-under 64 to move to tied-7th after the second round of the Skafto Open. Vani Kapoor (71-69) was tied-18th, while Amandeep Drall (80-68) showed an improvement of 12 shots between the first and second rounds. Amandeep missed the cut. — PTI
