Early Voting Begins March 20 in Chicago

CHICAGO, IL- In a run-off to April 4 elections in Chicago, early voting began Monday, March 20 onwards in all 50 wards and two Downtown sites. The early voting would run through Election Day which is April 4.

All 50 Ward Early Voting sites and the Board Supersite at191 N. Clark will be open as vote centers on Election Day. Secure drop boxes for completed Vote by Mail ballots will also be open and available at all ward sites.

You can also apply online to Vote by Mail in the April 4, Municipal run-off election. After applying online to vote by mail, the election board would send you regular updates via email on when your application is accepted, when your ballot is mailed to you, when the Election Board receives your Ballot Return Envelope and when your ballot has been processed and counted.

Voters also have the option of joining a permanent Vote by Mail roster where their ballots would be sent directly to their preferred address ahead of every election. However, the form must be returned no later than 5 days prior to any election. The form can be personally delivered or mailed to: Chicago Board of Elections, 69 W. Washington St. #800, Chicago IL 60602

Once you receive your Vote by Mail ballot make sure to follow all instructions and vote in secret. The signed and sealed ballot return envelope may be returned through the U.S. Postal Service, a licensed courier or in a secured drop box at any Chicago Early Voting location before election day or by personal delivery to the Election Board at 69W. Washington, Sixth Floor
