Dong-Won Ji returns to Augsburg

Berlin, Dec 23  South Korean striker Dong-Won Ji has joined German football club Augsburg until June 2018.

The South Korean penned a contract with the Bundesliga side for the third time Monday, reports Xinhua. 

Ji joined Augsburg the first time on loan in January before he had to return English club Sunderland.

After a short loan spell, Augsburg decided to sign the striker. However, he was unable to make an impact and Augsburg agreed a transfer to Borussia Dortmund, where he failed to make a breakthrough due to injuries.

"We know him, he knows us and we are sure that he can build on his top performances which he showed here," Augsburg's CEO Stefan Reuter said.

Augsburg's new arrival scored six goals in 29 appearances during his two short spells.
