Didn’t expect elimination from ‘Jhalak…’ so soon: Purab

Mumbai, June 23: Purab Kohli, whose journey on "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7" came to an end recently, didn’t expect to be ousted from the dance reality show so early. But the actor is sure he’ll pursue the art form in future.

"I did not expect to be eliminated from the show so soon, but I really enjoyed every bit of my journey on the show," Purab said in a statement.

He was paired with choreographer Mohina on the show, which airs on channel Sony.

"Mohina is a very fine dancer and I would like to thank her for being my constant support. While my stint in the show has come to an end, I will continue to pursue my passion for dance in one form or another," he added.

In their two-week stint on the show, Purab and Mohina impressed the judges and the audiences with their performances which even saw them dancing on a wall being supported by a mere harness.

Though his first performance did not fetch him a perfect score from the jury, Purab emerged as a surprise package when he presented his favourite dance form – tango.

However, Purab found himself in the bottom two with co-participant Puja Banerjee where, following a face-off, he lost momentum and found himself eliminated from the show while hoping that he would be able to be a part of the show for at least a few more weeks. (Bollywood Country Report)
