Delhi-San Francisco Air India Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Russia

The passengers and crew have been accommodated in local hotels in Magadan

The Delhi-San Francisco non-stop flight had to make a landing in Magadan Russia as one of the Boeing 777’s engines developed a snag. There are a total of 232 people on board. All the passengers and crew have been accommodated in local hotels in Magadan and an alternate aircraft has been arranged to take the passengers to their destination. US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel said,

“We are aware of a US-bound flight that had to make an emergency landing in Russia and are continuing to monitor the situation closely.”
