New Delhi: Here are some tips to get that perfect look for the D-Day.

1 Style and market research: Adequate research and knowledge about the kinds of lehengas available in the market is necessary. An online research to check out the latest colour trends, patterns, texture and designs is recommended. The research will also give you an idea about where the trends and styles are available.

2 For curvy women: Choose the style according to your body type. Women with a curvy figure could go for fish cut or straight cut lehengas, which will give them a slimmer look and would accentuate the right curves. Do not opt for billowing fabrics such as puffed satin or organza.

3 Petite ladies: Thin women can go for an A-line or flared lehengas fabrics, such as satin, silk or organza, to get a fuller look. This style fits well around the waist and makes one look well-endowed. Make sure that the lehenga is fitted at and around the waistline.

4 Complexion note: Women with a dusky or dark complexion should pick dark colours such as maroon, deep blue, purple, etc, as these colours complement the skin. For fairer skin tones, colours such as shades of orange, purple and even fuschia are a good choice.

5 Season specific: Now it’s the winter bridal season, so in place of net or georgette one can also go for more
comfortable velvet and crepe. If you have a dark-coloured bridal lehenga, fabrics such as velvet or crepe will accentuate the colour’s rich effect.
