CHICAGO, IL – Ahead of the April 4th Municipal Run-Off Election, the Chicago Board of Elections released a list of wards and precincts that will receive Limited English Proficiency (LEP) assistance for Election Day. These precinct polling locations will have assigned bilingual poll workers and paper ballots in Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Tagalog, and Polish.

Totals for LEP Assistance Precincts:

Spanish – 563 precincts
Polish – 105 precincts
Chinese – 60 precincts
Hindi/Gujarati/Urdu – 36 precincts

Additionally, every precinct polling place in Chicago will have a touchscreen voting machine and audio ballot in 12 languages: English, Spanish, Chinese (audio in Mandarin dialect), Hindi, Korean, Tagalog, Polish, Gujarati, Urdu, Ukrainian, Arabic, and Russian. Voters with limited English proficiency also have the right to bring an interpreter to help them understand and cast a ballot.
