Celebs at Bharat Ratna Ambedkar Awards

Mumbai, June 4: Bollywood actress Divya Dutta and actor Ranjeet were honoured with Bharat Ratna Ambedkar Awards at the 4th Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Awards, held in Mumbai, Wednesday. Yesteryears’ Bollywood actress Leena Chandavarkar was also honoured with Bharat Ratna Ambedkar Awards. Divya got the award for her performance in the film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. The actress was privileged to get the honour and shared her excitement.

“It is a pleasure and honour to be here and get this award. This award is special for me as recently, I worked in Shyam Benegal’s ‘Samvidhan’ and while working in that I got to know many things about Constitution. The film for which I have got this award i.e. ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, that film will always remain a landmark film. I will cherish the love forever that I got through that film,” said Divya.

Besides them TV actresses Kavita Kaushik, Ratan Rajput and transgender rights activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi were also felicitated here. Post awards, several singers like Rituraj also performed at the event. (Bollywood Country Report)
