Bruhud NY Seniors’ Woman’s Day bash

NEW YORK, NY — Bruhud New York Seniors and community leaders Gopi Udeshi, Kamini Shah and Hema Shah organized a social event to mark the International Woman’s Day on March 9 at Vaishnav Temple of New York.

Speakers hailed the accomplishments of women who were invited as distinguished delegates and female leaders of the community from all walks of life. Others elaborated on discipline among women, their power of thought, health awareness and positive attitude toward financial issues and Seva, Satsung and even politics, all of which, they said, had changed the face of society.

Gopi Udeshi, Dr. Dipika Doctor, Dr. Vasundhara, Dr. Nalini Parikh, Dr Sheetal Desai, Kamini Shah, Hema Shah, Padma Mehta, Rekha Trivedi and Shimul Shah were among those who gave impressive speeches.

Youngest women Manjari Parikh, Daksha Patel, Dr. Kunjbala Shah, Dr. Vidya Patel, Dr. Vasundhara Kalaspudi, Amita Amin, Padma Mehta and Rekha Trivedi received certificates.

Bruhud New York Seniors received a proclamation from NY state Governor and also a message from NY city Mayor.

A raffle and dinner were enjoyed as everyone saluted womanhood, women’s strength and dignity as well as success achieved by them through sheer hard work.
