HSS Celebrated their First “Hindu Unity Day” in Greater Chicago
CHICAGO,IL- Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (“HSS”), Chicago has successfully completed first ever “Hindu Unity Day” in greater Chicago region on Saturday, June 8th, 2019. Total 110 leaders/representatives from 38 local organizations participated with great enthusiasm. At Itasca Park District Hall in Illinois program began with Deep Pragatya ceremony
Diverse group of organizations (8-Temple, 8-Regional/linguistic, 7-Socio-Cultural, 6-Yoga/Spiritual and 9-Arts & Educational) came together who are positively contributing to local and Hindu society at large. Each organization introduced their leaders/representatives and key activities in 2 to 3 minutes. All 38 organizations presented themselves so succinctly & swiftly which made possible to complete the program within scheduled two and half hour time.

“Diversity” is the nature of Hinduism and “Unity in Diversity” is the beauty of it. In that sense, purpose of “Hindu Unity Day” is to have a common platform for in-person networking opportunity & create trusted and collaborative environment among Hindu organizations for the betterment of the world
Chief guest of the event, Professor Ved Nanda ji, HSS America Zone President (America Zone Sanghchalak) and 2018 Padma Bhushan Recipient, provided guidance and inspired to take leadership role in world peace and prosperity(
