Woman Charged with Speeding Driver, Manslaughter after Drunken Crash Kills Innocent

Mohammed Abdullah was killed while riding an Arrow 10 e-Bike when he was struck by a vehicle Sunday night.
A speeding driver with a 4-year-old boy in the back seat has been charged with manslaughter after cops say she drunkenly crashed in Brooklyn, killing an Uber Eats deliveryman, cops said.
The mayhem began when the 22-year-old driver, speeding east on Avenue D in Canarsie in a 2007 Infiniti G35, lost control near E. 105th St. about 10:35 p.m. Sunday.
She allegedly struck Mohammed Abdullah, who was riding an Arrow 10 e-Bike, then mounted the curb and slammed into a building, cops said.
Abdullah was sent flying through the air by the impact, landing in the roadway. Medics rushed Abdullah, who lived in East New York, to Brookdale University Hospital, where he died.
The Infiniti driver, identified by cops as 22-year-old Treasure Liggins, also of East New York, and the child in her back seat were taken to Kings County Hospital, where they were treated and released.
Cops arrested Liggins for a slew of charges including manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and aggravated DWI for having a child in the car with her. Liggins and her 4-year-old son live with Liggins’ great-grandmother, Betty McLendon.
Abbdullah’s uncle Belal Hossain, 59 described Abdullah, who came to New York From Bangladesh in 2017, as a hard-working immigrant who was generous despite financial struggles. Hossain, a yellow cab driver, said Abdullah shared his Brooklyn apartment with four friends who are also from Bangladesh
Friends and relatives said Abdullah started working for Uber Eats a month ago – and was delivering food for them on his e-bike when he was killed.
