FIA Welcome’s New Consul General of India Hon. Mr. Sudhakar Dalela,
CHICAGO, IL- Federation of Indian Associations Chicago, (FIA) with its executive team of Mr. Neil Khot (Founding Member and Past President FIA), met with Mr. Sudhakar Dalela on his very first day of taking
over the charge as the new Consul General Of India Chicago, at the Indian Consulate office.
The afternoon high tea event lasted for an hour with discussions ranging from Indians engaging in Politics, Community Issues, Local and State politics, Business Ventures, Illinois India trade relations, Bilateral
technology transfer and improving services at CKGS/Consulate for Indian diaspora. Mr. Neil Khot introduced FIA’s history explaining that FIA is an umbrella organization of other Indian social service organizations and currently completing its 10th year since inception. Further he explained, FIA takes up Social and Indian Community causes ranging from racism, physical abuse, immigration, senior services, injustice against Indian diaspora etc. Further FIA celebrates various events with the members of the community joining in big numbers.
The Consul General was very happy and excited to see the representatives of FIA honor him on his first day at work. He was extremely warm and welcomed the FIA representatives. Mr. Dalela was keen to know about various community organizations, issues of local community members, various business organizations. He was further inquisitive to know of any steps that CKGS/CG Office can take to improve services and customer relations.
The FIA Team presented Mr. Dalela with a Welcome Plaque by Mr. Khot. Meeting ended with few photographs pictures being captured for memories. Mr. Dalela mentioned this is a beginning of great long term friendship and working relationship and he looks forward to serve the community of Chicago and Midwest at large
