Annual Diwali Gala and Fundraiser Celebrated by SPCA DC

WASHINGTON, DC— On November 10th, 2018, Saurashtra Patel Cultural Samaj (SPCS SC) celebrated their annual Diwali Gala 2018 at Thomas Jefferson High school. During the gala, 80+ participants from age of 3 to 75 also participated in cultural dance performances.

During the gala, under the leadership of President Dr. Ajay Narola, SPCS team raised $150,000 in less than 15 minutes from various members of the SPCS community for charity and an education fund created to help financially challenged collage students. Part of the fund will also be used to help provide food and clothing to the homeless community. SPCS DC team will reach out to various shelters in the Northern Virginia area to distribute funds and goods annually.

Apart from executive team, SPCS have a strong team of 30+ enthusiastic volunteers from different committees who are professionals from various fields including IT, management, communications, business analysts, accounting, etc, and without their help, our goals wouldn’t be made possible.

Every one enjoyed cultural dance performances performed by talented 80+ participants from age of 3 to 75.
