Big B gets Yash Chopra Memorial Award

Mumbai, Nov 21: This year it is megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who will be honoured with Yash Chopra Memorial Award for his splendid contribution to Hindi Cinema.

The announcement was made by yesteryear actress Hema Malini at a press conference to announce the second Yash Chopra Memorial Awards. Besides her, late filmmaker Yash Chopra’s wife Pamela Chopra and actress Simi Garwal were also present at the conference. The award is being presented by the T S Reddy foundation.

Last year legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar had received the prestigious award. As part of this award, Amitabh Bachchan will receive a gold medal and Rs. 10 lakhs. He will receive the award in December. (Bollywood Country Report)
