Bhartiya Senior Citizens celebrates Diwali fete

 

CHICAGO, IL — On October 28, Bhartiya Senior Citizens (BSC) of Chicago celebrated Diwali with a gala banquet dinner with Bollywood Fame Gurukul singer Rex D’Souza and his music orchestra at Shalimar Banquet at Addison IL.

The program began with Ganesh vandana dance presented by Toral Chaudhary and her group followed by the lamp-lighting ceremony performed by Tushar Mehta, Manu Vora, Jatin Patel, Chhotu Patel (community leader and sponsor), Manasvi, Shali Kumar ( RHC Council), Hari Patel (BSC president).

BSC chief Hari Patel welcomed Shali Kumar. Sheth Lewis introduced Roger Orozco, candidate running for Illinois 46th State House District, who then appealed to seniors to support him in the elections.

More than 1,000 members and invited guests enjoyed Bollywood songs, Gujarati numbers and the Garba sung by Rex D’souza.

A raffle draw was organized for participants and the draw was done by Shali Kumae, Rex D’Souza, and Manasvi.

First and India Round Trip winner was Ramsingbhai Parmar (BSC Executive Member), 2nd Winner was Kirit Parikh. 55" Smart 4K TV winner was Bachubhai Paghadal.

At the end of the program, the BSC vice president praised all committee members who worked hard for the success of the program and thanked all sponsors for supporting seniors.
