This will be the first encounter for the two sides since the T20I World Cup 2021, where Pakistan finished as the semi-finalists after having won all their encounters in Super 12s, whereas Bangladesh lost all their games in the Super 12s.

Updates: Pakistan walk in after having done in the T20 World Cup. Mohammad Hafeez has opted out of the Bangladesh T20Is to give younger players a chance. Pakistan have already announced their ’12’ for the game. Imad Wasim and Asif Ali failed to make it into the side.

Updates: After a disappointing World Cup, Bangladesh will look to rebuild at home. They will, however, have to do without the services of some of the senior players like Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan.
