Bailey’s Financial Backer Is The Architect of Republicans’ Nationwide Abortion Ban

CHICAGO, IL –– Today, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham proposed a devastating piece of legislation to impose a national ban on abortion, the latest step in the GOP plan to decimate reproductive rights and the most aggressive measure taken by Republicans since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Graham developed the bill in concert with Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.

In June, the Financial Times reported that Dick Uihlein, Bailey’s chief campaign backer, is also the largest donor to Women Speak Out, Susan B. Anthony’s Federal PAC. As the largest donor to one of the nation’s foremost anti-choice PACs, Uihlein is leading the assault against women’s bodily autonomy, and here in Illinois, Darren Bailey has become his right hand man.

With his biggest donor steering the ship toward a nationwide abortion ban, Darren Bailey will be one of the most anti-choice governors in America.
