Mumbai, Nov 28: Actor Anupam Kher, who played a pivotal role in the epic love saga ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge’ feels nostalgic about the film which is completing 1,000 weeks Dec 12 at the box office. He says he always knew that ‘DDLJ’ will be a landmark film.
Anupam Kher was present at the inauguration of India Art Festival Thursday in Mumbai, where he spoke about artistic films made in Bollywood and other stuff. Meanwhile, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge’, directed by Aditya Chopra, released Oct 19, in 1995 and ever since has been playing out in the iconic Maratha Mandir, making it the longest running film in the history of Indian cinema.
