Amitabh Bachchan arrives for IFFM 2014 at Melbourne

Melbourne, May 1: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has reached Melbourne, Australia, where he will be inaugurating the 2014 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. He is attending the festival as a special guest.

Amitabh will open the 11 day festival along with the brand ambassador Vidya Balan on May 1.

The 71-year-old will be honoured as the IFFM International Screen Icon for 2014. He will also be giving away a scholarship, created after him by the La Trobe University, to a student there.

The festival will start with the Australian premiere of Amitabh’s ‘Sholay 3D’.

The other guests at the festival includes Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vijay Krishna Acharya, Shaan Shahid, Hassan Waqas Rana and Suhasini Maniratnam. (Bollywood Country Report)
