You may have seen movies like Harry Potter, Van Helsing, and Twilight to get a slight peek into the lives of these absolutely popular yet dangerous beings. However, if you have the curiosity ka keeda deep inside of you, we know you’d love to know more.

1. The Vampire Diaries

Released in 2009, The Vampire Diaries did not take long to become an absolute fan favorite when it came to TV shows.

While it came around the same time when the Twilight Saga was at its peak, the show did more than enough to hold its own, thanks to its amazingly talented and attractive cast of Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and the one and only, Ian Somerhalder.

Based on the book by the same name, the TV show is set around the fictional town of Mystic Falls in Virginia that has a history with the supernatural, especially Vampires.

Throughout the six seasons of the show, fans can expect quite an insight on Vampires, werewolves, witches, and otherwordly creatures in a plot that never fails to get interesting.

2. Teen Wolf

Well, just when The Vampire Diaries became the go-to show about Vampires, MTV decided that they should try doing something similar (or maybe not) with their natural enemies, werewolves, which led them to come up with Teen Wolf.

The show, loosely based on the 1985 Teen Wolf film starring Michael J. Fox, kicked off in 2011 and went on to stun viewers with a fresh take on werewolves just being ugly, hairy creatures looking for some human flesh on a full moon night.

The story revolves around the life of a young teenager, Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), who gets bitten by a werewolf in his California town of Beacon Hills.

However, all is not bad, as along with the curse of being a werewolf, Scott also gets a bunch of awesome superhuman strengths which he may use to get the girl while also defending his hometown against other menacing werewolves and supernatural elements.

3. True Blood

Based on a series of novels called The Southern Vampire Mysteries, True Blood is an absolutely different kind of vampire story set around the fictional rural town of Bon Temps in Louisiana, USA. (I know, everything just happens in America.)

The story revolves around the life of Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin from the X-Men), a telepathic waitress who falls in love with a 173-year-old vampire named Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).

The plot of the show deals with vampires trying to get used to living amidst human beings, many of whom are unaware of their existence.

However, in order to get the vampires to live in harmony with their food, the Japanese invent Tru Blood, a synthetic blood beverage meant to satiate vampires in order for them to not seek out real human blood.

Yeah, the show is all about how that idea does not always work.

4. Bitten

Based on the critically acclaimed series of novels by Canadian writer Kelley Armstrong, Bitten is a story about Elena Michaels, a  28-year-old woman who is the world’s only female werewolf.

Set in Toronto and New York, Elena is forced to live in a supernatural world she wants no part of and well, she tries doing that by abandoning her wolf pack and fleeing to a new city.

There she lives in disguise, even from her boyfriend. However, things take a turn for the worse when bodies start appearing in the backyard of her pack and she realizes that she has to defend her pack.

5. Buffy The Vampire Slayer

One of the most iconic TV shows ever, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, gained immense popularity after it was released in 1997.

Unlike the other concepts that flirt around with the idea of the protagonist falling in love with vampires, this show revolved around Buffy Summers (Gellar) finding her true calling in fighting against evil forces.

Not only that, in order to support her cause, the young Vampire slayer possesses powers like enhanced physical strength, endurance, agility, accelerated healing, and intuition in order to make life a living hell for blood-sucking supernatural creatures in the nearby regions.
