Omkara Collaborated with FISANA Celebrated Gujarat Day with “Sapta Sur”

BRIDGEWATER, NJ- Ohmakara, a cultural organization which was established in 2013 to promote cultural awareness through entertainment and promote music, language and heritage across the world organized “Sapta Sur”, a Gujarati and Hindi musical & dance concert with more than 20 local talented singers and dancers under one roof on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Balaji Temple Auditorium in Bridgewater, NJ. The program was collaborated with the largest seniors’ organization in North America – FISANA.

After a huge success and tremendous response from the last concert “Panch Tarang” in December 2021, Ohmkara organized this event to promote local artists and keep the community engaged and entertained. The evening was a mega concert of Gujarati and Bollywood songs of various singers and actors, actresses, music composers and writers from seven decades in a state-of-the art auditorium with wonderfully choreographed dance performances by Deepa Bhandari & her talented dance group. More than 45 Bollywood songs in “Sapta Sur” were theme based on seven decades of famous songs sung by talented singers from the tri-state area. The melodies from 60s to current eras were performed by the talented singers of Ohmkara which were applauded by more than 400 attendees from all walks of life. The event was anchored by talented host Madhavi Bathula and Nishil Parikh of Ohmkara in a unique way which was very well received by all the attendees. The highlight of the program was LED wall with ongoing videos and images throughout the program first time in a musical concert.

Ohmkara under the leadership of Pinakin Pathak and other team members Dr. Tushar Patel, Nishil Parikh, Kalpana Mehta and Deepak Trivedi dedicated their time and efforts in organizing “Samanvay” in 2014, “Saat Suron na Sarname” – Avinash Vyas Mahotsav” in 2015, “Mor Bani Thangaat Kare” in 2016 and “Gujarati Jalso” in 2017 with renowned artists from India. More than 10,000 Gujaratis enjoyed the musical journey of OHMKara organized concerts with some reputed names in music and literature industry like Parthiv Gohil, Gurang Vyas and Purushottam Upadhyay, Ankit Trivedi, Utkarsh Mazumdar, Chirag Vohra and Minal Patel in last seven years in the USA and around the world. During the pandemic, Ohmkara organized more than 100 virtual programs of music, literature and religious discourses with well-known artists and various religious leaders from India.

“Sapta Sur” was collaborated with the largest seniors’ organization of North America – FISANA. In his address, Chairman Mr. Dipak Shah provided details of FISANA and appreciated Ohmkara’s efforts in promoting local talents. FISANA President Mr. Ratilal Patel appreciated all umbrella organizations for their support. The program ended with delicious dinner catered by Balaji Temple kitchen which was enjoyed by all participants.
