‘Pride Of Indian Cinema’ Fans Lose It As Suriya’s ‘Jai Bhim’ Features On Oscars’ YT Channel

Released last year in November, South superstar Suriya’s movie Jai Bhim was one of a kind ever since it hit the screens. Not only because it received critical acclaim from audience and critics alike, but also because it struck a chord with the masses that was hard to miss.

Based on a true incident that happened in 1993, the film etched out the police brutality and caste injustice that oppressed the people from the Irula tribe.

Despite getting into several controversies after its digital release on Amazon Prime, the movie managed to make waves like no other.

And is continuing to do so even now, especially after a scene from the film along with the director’s story narrative got featured on the official YouTube channel of the Oscars.

An honour of the highest order!#JaiBhim has been featured in the official YouTube channel of @TheAcademy #SceneAtTheAcademy
