Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s first item song Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava in Pushpa created quite a hype and the song also became popular on all social media platforms. Her bold and sizzling avatar is being appreciated by the viewers and you will see many famous people creating Instagram reels on her song.
As Samantha is one of the most popular actresses down south, it wasn’t too easy to get her on board as she earlier wasn’t keen to be a part of the song. Earlier, there were reports that she charged the makers Rs. 1.5 crores for her special dance number alongside Allu Arjun. Now, the new reports claimed she was paid way more.
As per a report by iwmbuzz, she charged Rs 5 crores for that 3-minute dance number. A source told the portal, “Oh, she has charged a bomb for the Oo Antava dance number. Believe me, she was very reluctant. The film’s leading man Allu Arjun personally took the effort to convince her.”
The source also added, “They had to pay her close to Rs 5 crores for that 3-minute dance number. She had some reservations about some of the dance movements. But gradually she got into the groove and didn’t demand that even one step be changed.”
Here’s the song:
Now, this is an insane remuneration making her one of the top paid actresses of the South movie industry.
She was also in news for her separation with husband Naga Chaitanya . After a lot of reports speculating about their divorce, the two confirmed that they are parting ways as they don’t see a future with each other anymore.
Talking about her separation, in an interview with Filmfare, Samantha said, “It’s ok if you are having a bad day, vocalize it, understand it, as soon as you accept that you’re going through something half the work is done. It’s when we don’t want to accept it and we are fighting it that it’s a never-ending battle. But when you accept when you vocalize ‘this is my issue, so what now? I still have to live my life’. I know I’m still going to live my life and with all the issues that I now face in my personal life, I was surprised at how strong I was. I thought I was a much weaker person. I thought that with my separation, I would crumble and die. I didn’t think I was capable of being this strong…Today I’m very very proud of how strong I’m because I really didn’t know I was.”
Samantha and Chaitanya on October2, 2021, ended their nearly four-year-long marriage.
