New Delhi, November 11
The government today revised international arrival guidelines in respect of Covid disease and said children under five years of age would be exempt from pre and post-arrival testing unless found symptomatic, in which case they would need to undergo home quarantine.
The new guidelines, coming into force from November 12, say travellers fully vaccinated (15 days should have elapsed since the inoculation schedule) and arriving from 96 countries with which India has reciprocal vaccination agreements would be allowed to leave the airport and won’t have to self-isolate.
Those not vaccinated or partially vaccinated would have to submit a sample for test, get quarantined for a week and again get tested on eighth day. — TNS
