2,000 enjoy satsang with Sant Rajinder Singh ji

LISLE, IL — The opportunity of spending Thanksgiving with Spiritual Master Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj drew some 2,000 people to the Sheraton Lisle Hotel for the four-day holiday, from November 22 to 25.

They came from Africa, Asia, India, Central and South America, all over Europe, Canada and the United States.

Each day began with early morning meditation, followed by talks and workshops on all aspects of spirituality and meditation. The huge gathering was happy to be able to spend afternoons and evenings with Sant Rajinder Singh Ji, enjoying his satsangs and his darshan.

The Spiritual Master spoke about giving thanks for everything the Creator has given, not only on Thanksgiving but also on the other 364 days of the year.

One afternoon featured a meditation marathon–periods of meditation interspersed with personal stories from the audience. As always, the focus was meditation as a way of connecting with the divine and finding peace and bliss within.

A highlight of the weekend was donations to local service organizations, spearheaded and managed by the Science of Spirituality young adults: one to HSP, the Humanitarian Service Project; and the other to The Sensory Garden Playground.

The Humanitarian Service Project mission is to alleviate the pain and suffering poverty brings to seniors and children in DuPage and Kane Counties, Illinois, without discrimination or exclusion for any reason.

The Sensory Garden Playground, part of the Play for All Playground & Garden Foundation, is a combination of sensory-integrated playground equipment and amenities along with gardening areas, located in Danada South Park, DuPage County.
