Mall stabbing attack worries US senator

CHICAGO, IL — US Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) has issued a statement after ISIS claimed responsibility for a terrorist stabbing attack in which a knife-wielding man wearing a private security uniform injured 9 people at a mall in St. Cloud, MN, on the night of September 17.

“The American people should remain vigilant after this weekend’s apparent ISIS terror stabbing attack in the Midwest and the suspicious bombing attacks in New York and New Jersey,” Senator Kirk said.

“ISIS possesses machines to make fake passports and the will to attack the West, so the Administration should heed the warnings of US intelligence and law enforcement officials who warn about terrorist efforts to infiltrate Syrian refugee flows into the United States and Europe.”
