Audio-visual show on Krishna wows elders

NEW YORK, NY — Bruhud New York Seniors’s ShashikantPatel and Gopi Udeshi organized a unique audio-visual program at Sri Saneeswara Temple Bellrose Terrace on September 20.

The two-hour program that brought tranquility, joy and happiness concept, was compiled and compered by Dr Narendra Bhalodkar, MD, FACC

 

The audio-visual presentation comprised Krishna songs from various films as well as live recording of Pandit Jashraj, Partiv Gohil, Parth Oza and others in at least six languages.

 

It also included poetry by Ved Vyas, Meera, Narsinh Mehta, Surdas, Tukaram, Kabir, etc.

 

Dr.Bhalodkar successfully compered the program and spoke briefly about each of the musical selection, citing chapter and verse from Hindu scriptures like Bhagwat Gita, Mahabharata, etc. As well as ghazals and poetry.

 

He took the audience from Krishna’s birth to his Mathuragaman, Vandravan and Gokul with Bhakti Ras even as accompanying melodious music and spiritual explanations cast a spell on the senior citizens.

 

The event ended with a sweet slogan of “Kaun Banaga Krishna Premi?”.
